‘THERE WILL BE SUNSHINE SOON’
Is what, for many months, I told myself when the days seemed dark. I don’t know where it came from, but suddenly I had something to hope for, something to hold on to.
I have always loved taxidermy, and with a consistent hyperfixation on butterflies, I knew I wanted to do something with that path in mind, but what?
Classic pinned taxidermy didn’t seem unique enough to me, and accessorising with funky necklaces, earrings and keychains was something I’ve been doing by myself with crystals, handmade designs, and my own illustrations.
There is something so special about holding a beautiful creature, knowing that it had a full, high quality life and treasuring its beauty in every day life.
I don’t share my exact method of creation for each piece, as this business makes up the majority of my income, but I do use REAL butterflies (view the ethics page for more info on this), a method of colour preservation, and resin for my crafts.
Each piece is entirely unique and customisable with options for chains on individual pieces when you get to checkout.

Hello! My name is Aurora, I’m an illustrator, student, and the creative mind behind Sunshine Soon! I’ve run my illustration business FeatherFallArts since 2020, and in 2024 added a new product to my lineup: real butterfly jewellery.
Following a raging success of these items on my market stalls and through online sales, I made the decision to separate the unique jewellery from my own art to add to its successes!
I’m also a marketing student at Uni, and hope that my degree will assist in the development of both of my businesses! I’m passionate about wildlife, conservation, and preservation. My hyper fixation on butterflies has led me here, and I hope that this project will fuel that love for many years to come.
Markets and new collections are always on the horizon, and I pride myself on creating a smooth, customer friendly journey through my website and products - sticking to the promise of being ethically sourced and unique to every item!
