‘THERE WILL BE SUNSHINE SOON’

Sunshine Soon is a small business based in Liverpool, UK that hand crafts resin preserved insect jewellery. Established in August of 2024, the art created at Sunshine Soon has travelled the world through orders and is consistently displayed at markets and storefronts across Liverpool.

Since its development, Sunshine Soon has worked with 70+ species of insect - butterflies, moths, leaf bugs and cicada - to turn once delicate specimen into hard wearing decoration or display for customers worldwide. 

Though its initial selling point was wearable necklaces, Sunshine Soon has expanded into hair clips, earrings, and general wall hanging for private taxidermy collections.

About the artist:

Hello! My name is Clare Aurora, and I’m the creative mind behind Sunshine Soon! I first started this business in 2024 as an exploration into finding a way to make taxidermy less fragile for myself, as I have always ben fascinated by insects and wanted a way for myself and others to be able to fully experience the detail that is often found on the wings of such insects. At the time I was running a separate business selling my artwork designs, and took a few pieces along with me to a market and found a great audience for them, and so decided to branch out and dedicate more time to these items - that illustration business is no longer operating but occasionally I do still paint insects.

After a few months running Sunshine Soon I quit my job and moved from my hometown to start a degree in Marketing from Eden Hill University, and decided that instead of reapplying for more ‘regular’ positions of work, that I wanted to take the time to explore the potential of my jewellery pieces, and I’ve simply never looked back since!

I now regularly attend markets, have an online storefront, and stock my goods in RedBrick market. For more details feel free to get in touch or checkout the articles below!

Redbrick Market Liverpool

This is my space in the Druid’s Den unit of Redbrick Liverpool, where my work takes up two selves and the top of a glass unit, along side other fantastical and witchy items!

Ive been in this space since 17/04/25 and hope to be there for a while whilst I do my degree, I restock items often but will always announce so on my instagram - most of the items there can also be purchased from my online storefront or can be requested if I have run out of pre-made stock
